
Marcella Mandanici is a distinguished music composer, researcher, and professor of music education at the Music Conservatory of Brescia, Italy. She has created numerous vocal and theatrical works and served as the artistic director of “Nuovi Spazi Sonori,” an Italian association dedicated to promoting contemporary music, from 1986 to 1993.
Mandanici earned her Master of Science (MSc) in Music Technology from the Conservatory of Como in 2012 and completed her Ph.D. in Information Engineering at the University of Padova in 2016. This diverse academic background underpins her interdisciplinary and innovative approach to both research and teaching.
Her research focuses on the application of technology in music education and rehabilitation, investigating innovative ways to integrate digital tools into learning and therapeutic contexts. Since 2019, she has been teaching in the MSc programme in Technologies for Music Education. Throughout her career, Mandanici has authored more than 30 scientific publications in the areas of sound and music computing, multimedia, and music education
